About Calcined China Clay

China Clayis Hydrated Aluminum Silicate with chemical formula Al2O3. It is a soft,earthy, white colored mineral. Rocks that are rich in kaolinite are knownas Kaolin or China Clay. It falls under Kaolinite group of clays. China clayhas a low shrink swell capacity and a low cation exchange capacity. It isalso known for its capabilities to induce and accelerate blood clotting. It isproduced by the chemical weathering of aluminum silicate minerals likefeldspar. It is naturally hydrated Aluminum Silicate and is one of the mostabundantly available clay in the Earth's crust.
